Teen Arrested for Stabbing 13-Year-Old in Nottingham

A 13-year-old girl sustained severe injuries in a daylight stabbing incident. The assault took place around 4 pm on Friday, April 17, near Wensley Road in Woodthorpe, Nottinghamshire. The victim was promptly taken to the hospital and is currently in stable condition.

Following the incident, a teenage boy, whose identity is protected by law, was apprehended and charged with attempted murder and possession of a bladed weapon. He was scheduled to appear at Nottingham Youth Court on Monday, April 20.

Superintendent James Woolley, overseeing county policing, expressed support for the victim and her family during this distressing event. He assured the community of ongoing efforts to comprehend the circumstances surrounding the attack and emphasized the arrest and charge of a 14-year-old boy for attempted murder.
