“Armed police respond to knife assault at Cornwall vacation park”

Armed police responded to an incident at a vacation park in Cornwall where a woman was reportedly assaulted by a man wielding a knife. The Devon and Cornwall Police were alerted to the attack at a holiday park near Looe just before 12:30 pm on Friday. The victim, who suffered knife injuries, was taken to the hospital and later discharged after treatment, as per Cornwall Live. Following a search at the holiday park and in the Southway area of Plymouth, a 43-year-old man from Plymouth was apprehended on Saturday for suspected assault causing bodily harm. He has been released on bail while the authorities continue their investigation. According to Devon and Cornwall Police, the suspect reportedly fled the scene with a potential weapon, prompting a thorough search by officers, including armed units, in the vicinity and in Plymouth.
