The top holiday park in the country for 2026 has been unveiled, located on the stunning Norfolk coast near two popular seaside destinations.

Hopton Holiday Village by Haven is positioned between Lowestoft and Great Yarmouth, close to the Suffolk border. It has received a prestigious five-star rating from The AA, with inspectors praising its exceptional leisure and entertainment offerings suitable for all age groups.

Judged in the AA Caravan and Camping Awards for 2025-26, Hopton Holiday Village secured the esteemed title of AA Holiday Park of the Year. Inspectors lauded the park for its picturesque seaside location, scenic countryside views, and extensive array of on-site amenities.

With 775 static caravans on site, the village of Hopton is renowned for its expansive sandy beach, popular especially during the summer months. Visitors can access the beach directly, allowing them to relax on the golden sands or stroll along the peaceful clifftops.

The village exudes a traditional seaside charm, featuring fish-and-chip eateries, lively amusements, and various convenient shops. Just a brief ten-minute drive away lies the vibrant Great Yarmouth, where families can enjoy attractions such as the Pleasure Beach rides, SEA LIFE Centre exploration, and pier-side entertainment.

Traveling north from Hopton, visitors can reach Horsey Gap in about 40 minutes, known for its substantial grey seal population. During pupping season from late October to February, guests can observe these delightful seals from designated viewing platforms without causing any disturbance.

Another popular nearby attraction is Pleasurewood Hills Theme Park, roughly 15 miles away from the park. This theme park caters to all ages with a mix of attractions, from a Kiddie Zone for youngsters to thrilling roller coasters. Plans are in place to introduce four new rides at the park in 2026.

In addition to its amusement facilities, Hopton Holiday Village offers wildlife areas to observe colorful birds and sea lions, a soft play area included in the admission fee, and various recreational activities on site. Guests can enjoy golf, tennis, bike or kart rentals, and summer activities like the inflatable arena. The park also provides opportunities for booking activities like a climbing wall, archery, and arts and crafts.

The park features a substantial entertainment complex encompassing a fish and chip shop, amusements, fast-food outlets, and The Marina Bar and Stage, where Haven’s entertainment team hosts shows. The evening entertainment lineup includes activities by The Seaside Squad for children, as well as bingo and family-friendly performances.

Starting from £49, breaks at Hopton Holiday Village begin with a three-night stay for a family of four in a saver caravan. For booking and price details, visit the Haven website.
