The UK mobile network market is set to see increased competition with the launch of Revolut Mobile, a new service by finance and tech firm Revolut. Early adopters can take advantage of attractive incentives, including unlimited 5G data, calls, and texts for just £12.50 per month.
This pricing significantly undercuts similar offerings from established UK networks like EE and Vodafone, which charge £25 per month for comparable plans. Furthermore, Revolut Mobile offers a compelling deal for frequent travelers with 20GB of roaming data across the EU and the United States at no extra charge, allowing users to stay connected without worrying about additional fees.
In addition to these benefits, Revolut Mobile provides global messaging through its Messaging Pass, enabling customers in over 80 countries to use low-bandwidth data for messaging on platforms like WhatsApp. Users can also include up to three phone numbers on a single plan, simplifying management of work, personal, and travel lines. Subscribers also receive a complimentary NordVPN membership for enhanced online security and privacy.
The service is currently being rolled out to waitlisted customers, with full public availability slated for January 2026. While Revolut’s entry into the mobile market is ambitious, industry experts caution that success is not guaranteed. Analysts emphasize the importance of strong execution, as customer loyalty is hard to secure in the competitive MVNO market.
Despite the challenges, Revolut is confident in its ability to compete with established players like EE, Vodafone, and O2. Hadi Nasrallah, General Manager of Telco at Revolut, expressed the company’s commitment to offering a truly unique and disruptive alternative in the industry.
Nasrallah stated, “Revolut Mobile is not just another mobile service; it is a distinct alternative aimed at revolutionizing the industry. Our goal is to provide the best service at the best price, with a focus on exceptional user experience. We are introducing genuine innovation with features like multiple numbers and global messaging, while eliminating hidden fees and unnecessary complexities.”
