Donald Trump has issued a strong ultimatum to Iran, framing it as a holy war in a recent message on Truth Social. In the post, he reminded Iran of the ten-day deadline to allow shipping through the Strait of Hormuz, emphasizing that only 48 hours remained before severe consequences would ensue, concluding with a declaration of “Glory be to GOD!”

The US military intensified its search for a missing pilot in southwestern Iran following the downing of a US warplane by the Islamic Republic. The incident, involving a F-15E Strike Eagle, resulted in one service member being rescued and another missing. This marked the first instance of US aircraft being lost in Iranian territory during the ongoing conflict, raising pressure on the Trump administration to seek resolution.

The conflict, which began with joint US-Israeli strikes in late February, has caused widespread casualties, disrupted global markets, blocked vital shipping lanes, and spiked fuel prices. Despite claims of US and Israeli military successes against Iran, the situation remains volatile, with Iran retaliating to airstrikes with its own attacks in the region.

Efforts are underway to facilitate peace talks between the US and Iran, with Pakistan offering to host negotiations. Mediators from Pakistan, Turkey, and Egypt are working to bridge the gap between the conflicting parties and facilitate a ceasefire to pave the way for diplomatic solutions.

As the search for the missing American pilot continues, tensions escalate as Iran threatens to disrupt traffic through the strategic Bab-el-Mandeb waterway, a vital trade route connecting the Red Sea to the Indian Ocean. The region remains on edge as the UN Security Council considers the reopening of the crucial Strait of Hormuz.

Amidst the military confrontations, civilian infrastructure has also been targeted, with an Iranian drone reportedly causing damage to Oracle’s headquarters in Dubai. The incident underscores the broader impact of the conflict on both military and civilian sectors, highlighting the need for urgent diplomatic resolutions to prevent further escalation and loss of life.
