A mother who received a dire one-year life expectancy due to a severe brain cancer diagnosis has shared that she is now free from cancer. Kimberly Pelling, aged 42, began experiencing seizures in August 2022, just months after giving birth.

Following tests, doctors identified a grade-four IDH-mutant anaplastic astrocytoma, a typically untreatable and aggressive form of cancer. Kimberly expressed her shock and fear upon hearing the diagnosis, especially with young children at home.

Determined to fight, Kimberly underwent extensive brain surgery, followed by radiation and chemotherapy. However, eight months later, a new inoperable tumor appeared, leading to a devastating prognosis of potentially just one year left to live.

Despite the grim outlook, Kimberly refused further traditional treatment in 2023 due to severe side effects, opting instead to focus on her well-being through lifestyle changes, nutrition, and supplements. She embarked on a personal protocol guided by survivor stories and faith.

After months of uncertainty, scans revealed a remarkable development – the tumor began to shrink significantly, defying medical expectations. Kimberly attributed this unexpected progress to her unwavering faith and holistic approach to health.

In addition to battling cancer, Kimberly manages ADHD without stimulant medication, emphasizing natural remedies and dietary adjustments for concentration and energy. She openly shares her journey and choices, aiming to inspire others facing similar challenges.

Recently, Kimberly underwent a hair transplant to reclaim her identity post-cancer treatment, highlighting the emotional significance of regaining a sense of normalcy. In 2025, a routine scan delivered astonishing news: no visible signs of cancer were present, marking her as cancer-free.

Kimberly continues to embrace life with her sons, sharing her daily experiences online with a mix of gratitude, realism, and unyielding faith. While acknowledging the uncertainty of brain cancer, she remains steadfast in her belief that every day is a precious gift.
