“Green Park Station Incident Causes Underground Chaos”

Green Park station was closed to commuters this morning due to a police incident involving an individual on the tracks. The British Transport Police confirmed that the person suffered serious injuries at around 8:20 am and was promptly taken to the hospital by paramedics.

As a result of the ongoing police response, several Underground lines are experiencing significant delays and some stations have been shut down to the public. The Jubilee Line, specifically between Waterloo and Finchley, is not operational, and passengers are advised to seek alternative transportation routes.

Stations impacted by the closure include Waterloo, Westminster, Green Park, Bond Street, Baker Street, St John’s Wood, Swiss Cottage, and Finchley Road. Transport for London announced the closure of the route from Camden’s major interchange since 8:20 am.

The British Transport Police mentioned that emergency services were alerted to the incident at Green Park Underground station at 8 am. Enquiries are ongoing to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident. In addition, the London Fire Brigade confirmed their presence at the scene to assist in the situation.

The London Ambulance Service reported being called to the scene at 8:04 am for a person struck by a train at Green Park Underground Station. Prompt response and treatment were provided before transporting the patient to a major trauma center.

Furthermore, the Hammersmith & City line was briefly suspended at Paddington station due to a trespassing incident, causing delays. The Bakerloo line is also experiencing minor delays due to train cancellations.
