If you’re considering a family getaway in Europe, Eurocamp is likely a top choice for you. Eurocamp parks have been popular among families for many years, providing a range of family-friendly accommodations like lodges, spacious outdoor pools, splash parks, and various entertainment options.

With over 400 Eurocamp locations, narrowing down your search can be a challenge, especially if you’re unsure of where to go. Recently, Eurocamp revealed its ‘Best in Class’ destinations for 2026, naming one park near the UK as the ‘Ultimate All-Rounder.’

Domaine des Ormes in Brittany, France, near the charming town of Dol-de-Bretagne, was honored with this title. Jono, a contracting manager at Eurocamp, described the park as unbeatable for high-energy activities, boasting world-class slides and beautiful nearby beaches, making it the ideal choice for active families.

The park features both indoor and outdoor pools, water slides, and a splash playground for sunny days. Additionally, guests can enjoy amenities such as an 18-hole golf course and a horse riding school. Various activities are available, including kids’ clubs, football, boules, aqua aerobics, tennis, and bike rentals.

Accommodation options at Domaine des Ormes range from Safari Lodge Tents for a unique glamping experience to Classic, Ultimate, and Premium holiday homes with amenities like dishwashers, decking areas, and BBQs. For example, a week’s stay in a Premium three-bedroom lodge during May half-term, accommodating up to six people, costs £1,339.52 and can be booked on the Eurocamp website.

Just a 20-minute drive away is Plage de Cherrueix, a picturesque beach with soft sands and clear blue waters, perfect for swimming during high tide. Nearby, visitors can explore the iconic Mont Saint-Michel, one of France’s most popular tourist attractions outside of Paris.

Traveling to Domaine des Ormes is convenient, with the option to fly to Rennes Airport from London-Gatwick or Manchester via easyJet. Alternatively, many British visitors opt to drive to the park, which is a short 45-minute drive from St Malo. Ferry services from Poole or Portsmouth to St Malo can be booked through Brittany Ferries, offering an overnight option for a relaxing start to your trip.
