In a shocking turn of events, an influencer underwent a risky facelift procedure in Turkey, resulting in severe complications that left him unrecognizable and temporarily blind. Despite being denied the procedure by Turkish surgeons due to his age, Joni Hesselgren decided to seek the operation in South Korea instead.
Prior to this incident, Joni had undergone several cosmetic procedures abroad, including a rhinoplasty, liposuction, and dental work without any issues. However, his desire for a lower facelift led him to pursue the treatment in South Korea for his 30th birthday.
During the extensive surgery, Joni experienced significant blood loss as the surgeons recommended combining a V-line surgery with a deep plane facelift to achieve his desired results. The complex procedure involved three different surgeons working on various aspects of his facial enhancement.
Following the surgery, Joni faced a harrowing ordeal as he began to lose his eyesight on the second day post-operation. Struggling with swelling and blindness, he relied on friends for assistance in daily tasks and medical appointments.
Fortunately, a hyperbaric chamber treatment in South Korea helped reduce the swelling and restore Joni’s vision after about 12 to 15 hours of temporary blindness. Looking forward to the final results in the coming months, Joni emphasized the importance of having support and companionship during the challenging recovery process.
His cautionary advice to others considering similar procedures abroad is to ensure they have a companion for physical and emotional support throughout the demanding recovery period.
