The image bears a striking resemblance to a previously disclosed picture of Mandelson and Epstein in Epstein’s 50th birthday book, where Mandelson had referred to Epstein as his “best friend.”
Notably, both photos seem to have been taken at the same location and on the same day but from different angles. The latest photo displays identical chairs, tables, Epstein’s attire, and Mandelson’s white robe. An observation of the floorboards’ direction indicates that the new photo was captured from a distinct angle, approximately 90 degrees counterclockwise from the birthday book snapshot.
However, the true hidden aspect of the picture lies not in its subjects but in its photographer. A close examination of the top left corner reveals a faint image of a person’s shoulders clad in vibrant clothing. Just beneath Epstein’s face, the person’s fingers, likely holding the camera used for the photo, are visible. The photographer’s reflection suggests that the picture might have been taken through a window facing the deck or is a reflection in a framed glass.
Epstein had a penchant for displaying framed photos of himself with prominent individuals in his residences. Although there is no documented evidence of this particular photo being showcased, its presence among files from the 2010s alongside images from around 1999 or 2000 hints at its display. While not definitive, the partially visible face of the individual in the photo resembles Ghislaine Maxwell, Epstein’s former girlfriend and associate, who had connections with both Andrew and Mandelson.
