Co-op has introduced a significant update for its online shopping loyal members. These members can now benefit from their personalized weekly offers when making online purchases, a feature that was previously limited to in-store shopping.
According to the supermarket, utilizing these tailored offers can potentially save shoppers more than £80 annually on items they frequently purchase. Moreover, Co-op has expanded the online redemption options for membership card balances, allowing users to utilize game rewards and bonus offers.
Members can access these personalized deals on shop.coop’s website, excluding third-party delivery platforms like Deliveroo or Just Eat. Last year, Co-op enhanced its personalized offers by 67%, offering over 700 deals, including renowned brands such as Huel, Pop Chips, Actimel, Pilgrams Choice, and Vimto.
Additionally, Co-op has extended its member price savings to Just Eat, Uber Eats, Deliveroo, and its online store. Rachel Halter, Customer Director at Co-op, highlighted the company’s dedication to delivering value to its members online and its goal of reaching eight million members by 2030.
Co-op, with approximately seven million members, charges a £1 joining fee. The company has announced plans to open 18 new or upgraded stores in the first quarter of 2026, with the first new store in Willowbrook Park, Didcot. Furthermore, Co-op aims to generate thousands of apprenticeships by 2030 through a £70 million investment in apprenticeship programs, facilitating the transfer of levy funds to create 7,000 matched apprenticeships.
Since its inception four years ago, this initiative has successfully matched over 3,800 apprenticeships, with a focus on aiding deprived communities and the care sector.
