Apple has introduced a significant software update to enhance creativity among users. The tech giant from the US has unveiled Creative Studio, a new platform that grants MacBook and iPad owners access to premium software at a more affordable monthly rate.

This service provides full access to professional applications like Final Cut Pro for video editing, Logic Pro for music creation, and Pixelmator Pro as an alternative to Adobe’s Photoshop.

Upon its launch later this month, Apple users can subscribe to the service for £12.99 per month or £129 per year, offering great value for the included software. For instance, Final Cut Pro alone costs £300 on the App Store, while Logic Pro is priced at £200.

By offering these applications on a subscription basis, Apple aims to make them more accessible to a wider audience. Eddy Cue, Apple’s senior vice president of Internet Software and Services, stated that the Apple Creator Studio offers a cost-effective way for creators to access powerful tools for video editing, music production, creative imaging, and visual productivity.

Apart from the main software, Creative Studio also includes additional features like MainStage, which transforms a Mac into a versatile instrument, voice processor, or guitar rig. Another feature called Motion enables users to create cinematic 2D and 3D effects effortlessly.

Subscribers will also benefit from intelligent features and premium content added to Keynote, Pages, and Numbers apps, with enhancements planned for iPhone, iPad, and Mac later in the year. Although the basic software remains free, Creative Studio subscribers will enjoy improved versions.

Apple Creator Studio will be available on the App Store starting January 28, with a one-month free trial for all users. Additionally, customers purchasing a MacBook or iPad will receive a three-month trial period.

Moreover, Apple has introduced discounted rates for university students, offering the software bundle for just £2.99 per month or £29.99 per year, making it more affordable for educational purposes.
