Trump has criticized Swift multiple times. Following her endorsement of Harris, he expressed his dislike for Swift on social media. He also made disparaging remarks about her appearance after his negative comments about her.
Several artists, including Sabrina Carpenter and Ariana Grande, have urged the Trump administration not to use their songs.
Trump Campaign References Swift Songs on TikTok
Donald Trump’s campaign featured two Taylor Swift songs on its TikTok page over the past week. One video referenced Swift’s popular songs in the captions, such as “Red (Donald Trump’s Version).”
In June, a video posted by Trump’s campaign on TikTok included Swift’s new song “I Knew It, I Knew You” from the movie Toy Story 5. The video portrayed Trump interacting with children, attending a UFC match, and participating in a rally, with a caption praising his love for the country and its people.
This was the third instance where the Trump administration or campaign used Taylor Swift’s music in recent months.
